Fish Fundraiser
Mainsprings' Aquaculture Project

Partner with us as we fundraise for fish!

Help us raise $65,000 to purchase 6 floating cages that will rest in Lake Victoria right off the shore of our campus. Each cage will hold 24 tons of tilapia fish! This environmentally friendly aquaculture system will answer the rising problem in our community of the high cost of fish, most of which is being imported.

By having high quality fish readily available, we will provide a new source of protein across our campus for our children and students to get additional nutrients for their growing bodies. Not only will this significantly cut costs for us, but it will also provide access to different sources of protein for many families in our community, who normally do not have the means to purchase fish.

After year one, profits from this aquaculture system will bring in $80,000-$100,000 each year in income for our campus. Your donation to the aquaculture system will support 40 different families in our Changemaker Family Program and help us be more sustainable as an organization! What an impact your generosity will make!

By supporting our aquaculture project, you are helping families in our community rise out of poverty, receive training in restorative agriculture, have access to free healthcare, and guarantee that their children receive a transformative education!

Led by Mainsprings' Board Member Karl Ahlgren and his wife Mary Alice, join us today in this endeavor as we strive to meet more community needs and become more sustainable, all in honor of Karl's 70th birthday!
